Three string ensembles per- formed and were awarded with a total of $300 in cash prizes and a professional critique by Dr. Hans-Karl Piltz of the Faculty of Music at U.B.C. - The Society developed the Junior Awards program to encourage young players to discover the joys of playing chamber music — a very dif- ferent experience from or- chestral playing.
