and generally hustling to do anything it can to stay

Much of the pressure is
created by the = discon-
tunuation of New Life's
newspaper pick-up service in
North Vancouver District
since the municipal council
decided to invite tenders on
the work to see if the service
could be carned out at less
than the $7 per tonne it had
paid New Life since August.
Coupled with that is the fact
that the market for old
newspapers -- the bread and
butter oof the recycling
business — has dropped out
