West Vancouver Mayor Derrick Humphreys, long a proponent of such a link, received a commitment.that the highways ‘department will undertake the necessary shaded section of map. The new road, said Mayor Humphreys, would alleviate heavy commercial and tourist traffic on Taylor Way which. presently handles most of the traffic load between the bridge and the highway — both of which are — provincially owned.
