Monday, Feb. 6: When you look
good, you feel better. That's the
premise of the Look Good - Feel
Better program for cancer patients.
The Canadian Cosmetic, Toiletry
and Fragrance Foundation and
Lions Gate Hospital (LGH) have
joined together to offer monthly
workshops at the hospital. Makeup
and skincare, scarf tying and wigs
will be covered in this workshop, 7-
9 p.m., in Seminar Room A. Pre-
register by calling 984-5753.

Sunday, Feb. 12: As part of Eating
Disorder Awareness Week, Feb. 6-
12, the Canadian Association of
Anorexia Nervosa and Associated
Disorders (ANAD) will show the
film Becoming Barbie at Britannia
Community Centre, Room L3, 1661
Napier, Vancouver. Showtime is
7:30 p.m. for this locally produced
film that examines body image and
eating disorders, Panel discussion to
follow. Both events are free. Info:

Friday-Sunday, Feb. 17-19: The
Hyatt Regency Vancouver presents
Woman. Today, a weekend of
health, learning and self-indulgence.
Package price, ($350, double occu-
pancy) includes fitness classes, sem-
inars, fashion show, entertainment
and two nights’ accommodations.

Ongoing: The West Vancouver
Museum & Archives needs _his-
toric sporting costumes and
equipment for The Sporting Life, an
exhibition starting in May. The
museum is looking for clothing
worn by men, women and children
while participating in the following
sports in West Vancouver between
1910 and 1960: golf, tennis, lawn
bowling and Roxx, swimming and
boating regattas, fishing, hiking and.
camping. Staff vould also love to
get their hands on one of: the
sweaters wom by The Hounds, circa

Wednesdays: The merchants at
Lonsdale Quay present “Feast Your
Eyes,” free strolling fashion shows
between noon and 2 p.m. every
week, Held at the Cheshire Cheese
