Six flamingos were killed in a savage early-morning attack after someone climbed over a security fence, cressed a narrow catwalk and broke in- to the flamingos’ night cage, attacking them viciously with a broom handle. Greater Vancouver residents, ap- palled by the senseless incident, have contributed ap- proximately $10,000 in reward money toward the cap- ture of the person or persons responsibie. Should Stanley Park get more flamingos? Michelle Kirby North Vancouver I like them, and I think they should get some more. It’s good for kids to see the flamingos by the train ride. Wayne Mooney North Vancouver Yes. I think the flamin- gos should be more pro- tected, if they do get more of them. Brendi Wilson North Vancouver I think they should get some more flamingos and tighten security. They should probably get a surveillance camera, Prule Jacobs North Varcouver I think flamingos are re- ally pretty birds, anct they add spice to Stanley Park. They should get more security such as a night watchman. Rudy Stabe - North Vancouver It’s nice to have the fla- mingos there. I think if they catch the guy, they should give him the same . treatment he gave the - flamingos.
