12 - Friday, November 27, 1987 - North Shore News DUNDARAVE REVITALIZATION Park gets facelift PARK AND parking improve- ments at the foot of 25th Strect in West Vancouver will be undertak- en in conjunction with the Dun- darave Revitalization project. The work will be a municipal project, and not a financial re- sponsibility to - the Dundarave merchants who are planning pro- jects to improve their area. Specific details are yet to be worked out, but part of the municipality’s plans for the park is to provide two parking areas, with 60 spaces, east and west of 25th St., in addition to south Bellevue. The street end leading to Dun- darave pier would also be improv- ed. Estimated costs for the park project now stand at about $235,632, and will include the demolition of a house and work on Bellevue Avenue. But Ald. David Finlay was con- cerned about the quarter of a mil- lion price tag, which would include $80,000 for interlocking paving. “That's an awful tot of money,’’ he said. . Council also received a submis- sion from Mr. Adams, a resident who uses the sloped seawall to get his cartop boat down to the water for fishing. “*T ask you to ensure that there is reasonable access to the foreshore so that I, and many others, can continue to enjoy it,’’ Adams said. Mayor Don Lanskail said that the point was well taken. Opportunity From Japan Please Inquire — LyngVaLey Centre _AT YOUR SERVICE x 3 hop in Grand S tyle _ this Christmas! FREE VALET PARKING! .
