ICBC’s marketing manager John
Hancock in response to a recent
rash of break-ins at Autoplan in-
surance agencies throughout the
province.

“Fortunately, the 3,000 decals

stolen from BCAA have been re-
covered, but there’s no guarantee
that decals from other thefts aren’t
being circulated out there,’ Han-
cock reports.

‘Motorists should be aware that
it is illegal to operate an uninsured
vehicle on B.C. roads and stolen
Autoplan decals a’e invalid.

“They do not provide any in-
surance coverage sitould a claim be

made to the corporation nor do
they satisfy the licencing require-
ments of the Motor Vehicle
Department."’

that motorists buying or ren¢wing
their Autoplan coverage, s:iould
do so only through recognized
Autoplan insurance agents.
