earlier printed.

Ald. Dana Taylor of
North Van City Council
originally voted in favor of
tabling the park’s go-ahead,

because he wanted City
engineer Alan Phillips to
confirm the park’s elevation
would not block any views.

But when the motion was
defeated 4-2, Taylor voted in
favor of park construction,
as he approved of the layout
and sculpture, which was the
meeting’s central controver-
sy.
