Pemberton noise to be studied BARRON AND Associates Acoustical Consultants Ltd. has been selected by North Vancouver District Council to conduct a study of noise in the lower Pemberton area at a.cost of no more than $6500. The firm will look at the noise problem on the west side of the 100 to 200 block Pemberton Avenue. The study results from continued requests from residents for Council to investigate ways of combatting the problem in the area. To date, a technical advi- sory committee. has been Struck to study the problem, composed of representatives of Council, District staff, area residents and iocal businesspeople. According to a= staff . report, the actual study will not be conducted until May or June when the local businesses ‘ are operating’ evening shifts and general outdoor activity is stepped up due to warmer weather.
