Even ice cream wars have heroes

FAR FROM the bloody battlegrounds of the mid-

America, Scottish director Bill

Forsyth turns a sympathetic camera on the bitter
battle over the right to sell ice-cream in Glasgow.

Alan (Dick) Bird (Bil)
