With help from Jan Bednarczyk, one of the judges of the North Shore Gardens Contest, resi- dents learned how to make the most of small spaces. Now budding gardeners are taking advantage of them, resulting in a wall of flowers that would be the envy of any neighbourhood. Shopping for clothes these days mostly just leaves me feeling big, wrinkly and asty. Lately I’ve found myself turning to places like Costco and Home Hardware for my shopping fix. You know your lifestyle is losing a litle pizzazz when a trip to Costco ranks clase to the top on your list of major social events. A couple of friends of mine are Costco members and we usually make a monthly tip out to the Burnaby store. I love going there, mostly because Costco is really big on those sample See Siren page 2
