In North Vancouver District, 3,150 B.C. Hydro customers in an area bounded by Lillooet Road to the north, Seymour Boulevard to the south, Berkley Road to the the east and Premier Street to the west were without power from 10:07 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. and from 2:04 p.m. to 2:10 p.m. after the same circuit failed twice. Another 2,500 residents bounded by 16th Street to the north, Burrard Inlet to the south, Seymour Creek to the east and Sutherland Avenue to the west lost power at 11:49 a.m. It was restored af 2:30 p.m. and 5:48 p.m. Farther west, approximately 675 residents bounded by Marine Drive to the north, Welch Street to the south, Fell Avenue to the east and Bowser Avenue to the west lost power from 11:22 a.m. to 1:45 p.m, In the lower British Properties, 3,000 B.C. Local jailed for theft AN 18-YEAR-OLD North Vancouver man was sentenced Dec. 9 in North Vancouver provincial court to four months in jail after he pleaded guilty to one count of theft under $1,000. Harold Anthony Gallup was initially charged in connection with a Dec. 7 incident in which a cassette recorder, a walkman and a number of syringes were stoten from a North Vancouver doctor. In addition to the jail term, Gallup was placed on probation for three months. Mian guilty of sex assault A 30-YEAR-OLD Sechelt man was sentenced Dec. 6 in North Vancouver provincial court to six months in jail after he pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a female. Gordon Edward Laidiaw was originally charged with incidents that occurred between April 1, 1985 and June 30, 1985 in which a female was assaulted. In addition to the jail sentence, Laidlaw was placed on probation for one year. Impeding ferry results in fine A 42-YEAR-OLD Nanaimo man was fined $250 Dec. 5 in West Vancouver provincial court after he was found guilty of impeding the operation of a BC Ferries Corp. ferry at Horseshoe Bay. John Alfred Anderson was originally charged with driving without due care and attention and interfering with and impeding tbe operation of a ferry in connection with a July 27 incident in which he drove on to a BC Ferries Corp. ferry contrary to the orders of the vessel’s crew. Appearing before Judge R.D.
