at toy conference

ALL YOU ever wanted to know
about toys will be the topic of
discussion at an upcoming con-
ference by the Children’s Play
Resource Centre.

The conference will be held
Saturday, Nov. | from 9 a.m. to 3
p.m. at Douglas College.

One of the keynote speakers is

Rick Gruneau of West Vancouver.
Gruneau is a professor of physical
education and recreation at UBC.
His topic will be Toys as Culture.

Other local speakers include
Valerie Fronzcyek of West Van-
couver, who is the director of the
Children’s Play Resource Centrre,
North Vancouver’s Pat Gallagher
of B.C. Play Things and Daphne
Trivett, a West Vancouver resident
who originated the Imagination
Market.
