Originally sentenced to two years less a day after pleading guilty to 12 counts of molesting young boys, Bennett will now serve four years in a federal penitentiary. . The 47-year-old man was charged in connection with an incident that occurred April 24 in North Vancouver. Appearing before North Vancouver provincial court Judge P.L. Maughan on July 9, Pettinger was ordered to stand trial on the assault charge Oct. 17. Cigs, cycles seized WEST VANCOUVER Police confiscated 19 cartons of cigarettes, a stolen bicycle and bicycle parts from a vehicle recently. The search occurred ata July 10 police road block at 4:40 p.m. The cigarettes had been stolen from the Westview Shopping Centre Safeway store.
