May. 2 through May 6 with more than 9,000 ‘square feet of solar’ space and hot water heating equipment on display. Officially opening the exhibit at noon on May 2 will be Charles W. Nash, B.C. Hydro vice-president ‘corporate affairs. The fair, B.C. Hydro, will take ‘place in the Media Centre. daily from noon to 9 p.m. Sixteen distributors and manufacturers’ will be showing the most up-to-date solar equipment for residential use. Included will be complete solar energy systems, collectors, con- trols, storage tanks and associated hardware. The show will also have a computer terminal hooked into B.C. Hydro's head office computer Xe) that homeowners can learn the percentage of their hot water a solar system could provide. The homeowner would have to provide the com- puter with the location of his house, the tilt of the roof and the orientation of the roof surface in relation to the sun. Also on display will be a number of photovoltaic cells, those wonders of space age technology which supply electricity in many: of the satellites circling the carth.
