Twins fade | championship THE North Shore Twins finished sixth in the B.C. Premier Baseball championship last week- end. The Twins were fifth place in regular season with an 18- 13 record, but only managed a 2-3 record in the tournament, co-hosted by Coquidam and Burnaby. North Shore opened the event in fine fashion with a 9-5 win over White Rock Tritons. Twins’ ace Marc Rouleau allowed nine hits but struck out seven Tritons. The Twins couldn't put two wins in together and lost to league powerhouse Whalley Chiefs 5-2 on Saturday. Another loss followed, this time a 12-2 defeat at the hands of the Abbotsford Cardinals. North Shore evened its record at 2-2 with a 9-0 shutout of Nanaimo Pirates, but ended the tournament — and the season — on a sour note with a 7-2 loss to North Delta Blue Jays. In that game, Jeff St. Pierre registered the team’s only home run of the weekend. Dom Laurin was the top hitter for North Shore with a .375 average, three singles and three doubles.
