thanks from teen
moms enrolled in a_
program that helps
them to high school...
’ Lianne Dunster, coordi-
nator of the Learning
Together Program for Teen-
aged Parents, gave council a
certificate of appreciation for
its $2,500 financial grant
which helps to support the
program.

Learning Together is a

non-profit program assisting
teen parents in their pursuit
of a secondary school educa-
tion while providing on-site
daycare.

The daycare at Sutherland
school is also open to the
community and is not exclu-
sive to teen moms, Dunster
added.

Teen mom Rene told
council that she and her 11-
month-old daughter have
been enrolled in the program
for two years and that she is
now in Grade 11.
