Horizon, a cross-cultural tearning experience organized by Capilano College.

Summer camp removes cultural barriers

THIS YEAR, Canadian and Jap-
anese young people will come
together at a summer camp
designed to boost cross-cultural
understanding in a recreational
atmosphere.

Capilano College’s International
Summer Camp will be held at the
North Vancouver Outdoor School
at Cheakamus from July 29 to
Aug. 3 and Aug. 5 to 10.

The objectives of the program
are to assist Japanese and Cana-
dian young people toward a better
understanding of each other’s
culture and Janguage through play
and social interaction, and to in-
troduce and enhance outdoor rec-
reation activities for both Japa-
nese and Canadian young people.
