Local dancer performs with ballet

LOCAL DANCER Charice Evans
joins Ballet B.C. in three contem-
porary ballet premieres on March
10 and II at the Queen Elizabeth
Theatre.

Evans trained in Vancouver with

Maria Lewis, attended Les Grands
Ballets Canadiens summer school
and the professional program at
the Banff School of Fine Arts.

She was a member of the Pacific

Ballet Theatre prior to joining
Ballet B.C. Her roles have includ-
ed leads in Butler’s Medea, Ander-
son’s Music for the Eyes, Cranko’s
Opus 1, and Anderson's Douze en
Bianc.
