Jesign scholarship announced

THE FRASER Valley Designer’s Association recently
announced that beginning this year it will offer a $200
scholarship to a full-time student in the Fraser Valley
College Apparel Design Program.

Former FVC Apparel Design student and now
president of the Designer’s Association, Margaret
Blackburn, said that the scholarship will go to ‘‘a de-

development and provide an incentive to learn profes-
sional skills.”’

The recipient of the award will be a promising stu-
dent in the first year of the Apparel Design program
who is also planning to enrol for the second year of
the two-year FVC Apparel Design program. The
award will be presented at the college’s annual
