Vancouver, B.C. 255-0023 1470 Commercial Dr. oe The Times of India praised Wyman’s *‘remarkable choreographic inventiveness’’ and said the company’s director had ‘seasoned her creations with wit.” While modern dance is not common in India, Wyman said people were curious. “As with any art form, people go to a show to be entertained,’ she said. “If the evening is good, the entertainment good, that's all that’s needed.”” But the traditional Indian dances have not in- fluenced Wyman’s choreography. “What influenced me is the country and the way of living,” she explained. ‘*(The country) is very confus- ine — it is so different and it is so poor.’’ When the 15-year-old touring company returns Feb. 16, Wyman and her dancers will be preparing for a May presentation of three new dances at the Playhouse.
