Sex. abuse discussed

SEXUAL. ABUSE of children is
not a new problem, but recent
stories in the media have brought a
new awareness of the situation.
For parents who are concerned
and wish to take steps to prevent
the. problem, Constable Alison
Irons of the. North Vancouver
RCMP will speak at the Seycove
Branch. of. North Vancouver
District Library on Mon., May 12

at 7:30 p.m. She will discuss the
definition and nature of sexual
assault, and suggest ways in which
Parents can protect their children.

The program is co-sponsored by
the Deep Cove/Dollarton ‘Com-
munity Association, and there is
no charge.

for a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
Across Canada, Kinsmen and
Zellers are cooperating to promote
a walk-a-thon for people of all
ages, that will result in total mile-
age walked equalling the distance

between the earth and the moon...

Starting at 9 a.m. on Sat., May
24, participants will -depart from
the Lynn Valley Centre for a
twelve mile walk.
