The Fund does receive assistance trom the Municipality in the form of space for storage and co-ordinahon at the Number | Fire Hall, at 16th and Fulton, tn West Vancouver Also, the firefghters assist in deliveries of hampers and some repairs On behalf of the West Vancouver Santa Claus Fund, I would like to thank the staff and management of A.E. LePAGE WESTERN LID. for thetr enthusiastic assistance. Their community concern and involvement should serve as an example for us all, in pro- viding this space and moral and financial support for the Santa Claus Fund. Staffed by Unpaid Volunteers The Santa Claus Fund 1s managed by a Board of Directors who are interested residents of West Vancouver In addition to the seasonal volunteers who assist on hamper preparation and co ordination, the Fund operates year round with one volunteer unpaid case worker, Mrs. Ruth Stout Ruth is in continuous haison with the Human Resources Department and other agencies and 1s trequently called upon to help out with short term assistance, food, clothing and furniture Also, many children are able to attend Summer camps as 4 result of the Fund A Contrary to the popular sterotype of wealth and affluence, many individuals and families in West lan G.
