Now, he runs ‘the family’s ° “Horseshoe Bay business, Sewell's Marina, which was founded by his grandfather, Dan, and taken over by his father, Tom. Dan Sewell remains involved with the ocean beyond running the marina: He is an adviser in federal fisheries management and fish habitat. _ He's also giving back (o a fishery that has been a big part of his life. Sewell is the driving force behind a salmon release program in Horseshoe Bay that now ‘releases 30,000 coho and 100,000 vhinook a year. The program began in 1986.
