and-older softball league.

The league plays owo
hights per week (Monday
and Wednesday) at
McCartney Creek Park. and
runs from early April to the
end of July. Cost is $55
(both nights) or $30 (one
night a week).

Registration for the
league takes: place at the
Lonsdale recreation centre
at the following times:

recently competed ai the
B.C. Zone tournament at
Carson Graham.

And while the host
school dominated both
girls’ and boys’ divisions —
the Eagles took both overall
senior titles — Balmoral,

Handsworth wrestlers
posted impressive’ individ-
ual performances. A top five
(six for girls) finish quali-
fied each wrestler for a spot
in the B.C, Championships,

THE WINDSOR Dukes senior girls” basketball reat capped an inapressive
seasag last Thursday as they deleated West Vancouver Highlanders 66-50
in the North Shore high school final.

In the battle for third-plice. St Thomas Aquinas edged Argyle 16-45.
The Dukes and STA both advance to the Vancouver and District double-A
playoffs. while dhe Highténders and Argyle will conipete in the V&D triple-
A tournament,

in junior action, the Argyle Pipers won both the boys and the girl's titles
following two tight games, The boy Pipers crept by the Sentinel Spartans
52-31 (Sutherland beat Balmoral 42-38 in the consolation final), while the
girl Pipers edged West Vancouver 39-36 (Sentinel outlasted Windsor 53-42
for third place).
