A 37-YEAR-OLD MAN who was
serving an electronic monitoring
jail sentence in his home was arrest-
ed on Monday after he was alleged-
ly caught picking up spilled cocaine
on the floor of a taxi cab.

John Duncan Grant is charged
with possessing a narcotic.

According to the police. ihe taxi
incident took place in the 800-block
of West 17th Street in North
Vancouver.

A North Vancouver RCMP
spokesman said 6.6 grams of
cocaine with a street value of $700
was recovered from inside the
Black Top taxi.
