She attended high school in Edmonton, Normal College in Calgary and taught school in several districts asound Hanna, Alberta, where she met and married E.C. Lorne Burrows, who predeceased her in 1987, They lived in several towns in Alberta and she was always very active in church and community work. During her stay in Stettler she became Regent of the Frontenac Chapter of the !.0.D.E. and was also president of the Ladies’ Aid of the Stettler United Church for several years. In 1951 they moved to West Vancouver, For’many years she was @ member cf the Ourcan lawson Chapter of the 1.0.D.£. and was con- vener of the original Lion’s Gate Circle {later named the Fidelity Unit) of the West Vancouver United Church. She was @ life member of U.C.W. of the West Vancouver United Church, serving as secretary for two years. When the famous Flea Market was started, she or- ganized and convened a plant stall for 14 years, aS plants and flowers were her great love. She was a member of the West Vancouver Garden Club for over 20 years and secretary for two years.
