Gate Hospital on Friday, March 12, 1993
at the age of 89. Predeceased by hus-
band Karl and son Andrew. Survived by
son Peter of North Vancouver, sister
Anne Netter of Edmonton, Alberta, Ar-
rangements entrusted to the Memoriat
Society of B.C. and First Memorial
Funeral Services.

WARD ~ Cyril, passed away peacefully on
Maich 16, 1993 at Lions Gate Hospital,
in his 84th year. He is survived by his
wife Ida; children Ronald (Margaret) and
Douglas (Linda): 4 grandchildren, Margo
(Steve), Christine, Sean and Melissa;
preat-granddaughter Adele; 1 brother
Roy (Barbara) and their children. A
Ptivate memoria service was held March
18, followed by cremation, Cy and Ida
would have celebrated their 60th wed-

BURROWS -- Elizabeth Ethel, (known as
Beth to her’many friends), of West Van-
couver, passed away at Lions Gate Hos-
pital on March 10th, 1993, age 89. Barn
in Idaho and moved to Alberta in 1908.
She attended high school in Edmonton,
Normal College in Calgary and taught
school in several districts asound Hanna,
Alberta, where she met and married E.C.
Lorne Burrows, who predeceased her in
1987, They lived in several towns in
Alberta and she was always very active
in church and community work. During
her stay in Stettler she became Regent
of the Frontenac Chapter of the !.0.D.E.
and was also president of the Ladies’
Aid of the Stettler United Church for
several years. In 1951 they moved to
West Vancouver, For’many years she was
@ member cf the Ourcan lawson
Chapter of the 1.0.D.£. and was con-
vener of the original Lion’s Gate Circle
{later named the Fidelity Unit) of the
West Vancouver United Church. She was
@ life member of U.C.W. of the West
Vancouver United Church, serving as
secretary for two years. When the
famous Flea Market was started, she or-
ganized and convened a plant stall for
14 years, aS plants and flowers were her
great love. She was a member of the
West Vancouver Garden Club for over 20
years and secretary for two years. Sur-
vived by her son, Alvin (Jean) of North
Vancouver; daughter Marjorie (Bill) Gon-
zales of Kirkland, Washington; three
granddaughters, Nancy (Jens) Engel of
North Vancouver; Lori (Jim) Parsons of
Burnaby; Julianna (David) Mears of Van-
Couver, Washington; one grandson,
Carlos Gonzales of Kirkland, Washington;
four great-grandchildren, Kirsten and
Alex Engel; Jennifer and Victoria Par-
sons; one sister Helen Nelson of Cran-
brook, B.C., and one brother Edward
Meece ui Yucaipa, California, First Me-
meorial of North Vancouver in charge of
cremation. By request, private service
for family. Donations may be made to
the Canadian Cancer Society.
