the ferry, testified he saw the
ferry change course to port

collision course with the
ferry from the time it came
into his view.

“The relative bearing
never changed,’’ Partee said.

Both he and Bateson said
they felt the ferry slow be-
fore it hit the Kimberley.

Still to testify are Queen
of Cowichan captain Wayne
Holmes and Kimberley
owner George Kwok, who
survived the collision along
with his son Nelson.
