The Food Bank suggests a host of alternatives a family untroubled by financial crisis can consider in order to help other families who find them- selves at times unable to feed themselves properly. A program the food aid service would like to see develop immediately is to have people set aside a row of their vegetable garden for others. This would benefit the hungry at the time when the vegetables are harvested. Potatoes, carrots and onions are excellent donations The Food Bank desperately requires all year round. If the produce came out of a family garden, all the better in main- taining true community in- volvement. Others without gardens can be of help by donating the excess from their fruit trees.
