COUGARS have been seen in the parking area at
Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal twice last week. A
nearby resident spotted one mght outside his
window and one was chased near Gleneagles Golf
Course on another occasion.

B.C. Ferries workers saw a
cougar Wednesday for the
second night running, near a
ticket booth. West Van-
couver police . responded

. after a- report _that.a large

cougar was roaming round
the parking lot but the
cougar left the area of its
own accord and wandered
up the mountainside before
officers arrived.

B.C. Ferries worker told
the News the cougar was
seen to kill a raccoon and
knock it off the rockface
between the ferry terminal
and the highway.

that the animal might be the
mate of a cougar which was

Avenue spotted a cougar
right outside a window at the
back of his home.

At about 1:30 a.m. Friday,
a B.C. Fernes worker called
police, concerned about a
couple waiting for a ferry,
who were sleeping outside
their car, on the parking lot,
and they were advised to get
inside.
