BOA CONSTRICTOR is safely

SNAKES ALIVE!

Even life with a
prince can become
boring at times and
Lady Di had finally had
enough of all those
weeks cooped up with
Charles. Besides, this
place was no
Buckingham Palace,
where the only things
they ever fed her were
live rats and’ bay
chickens.

It was Sunday afternoon,
most of the staff were off for
the weckend and the place
was almost deserted. Lady
Di decided it was the perfect
opportunity to make her bid
for freedom and seized the
moment.

But her independence was
short lived and came to a
very unladylike end when a

couple of Sunday strollers
saw her slithering around a
crow she had just killed.

The authorities were
alerted and the boys of
North Vancouver District
Fire Department came along
to the rescue. After all, who
else would be prepared to
tangle with a 6 ft. long boa
constrictor that was on the
loose?

When they arrived at the
south campus of Capilano
College, the firefighters
found that the snake had
slithered through a crack in
the siding of one of the
portable buildings and was
beneath the floor of the
physics department, just
next door to the biology
department from where she
had escaped.

Lady Di showed no sign of
giving herself up and it was
