Council:

Re: Montroyal Connector.

Disappointed? Yes. Concerned? Yes, But you know, |
have had a few days to think about the outcome. Seenis
there was nothing we could do after the election promis-
es were made. So, | guess we have to live the way in
which our political system works.

Anyway, While we have to live the with negative
impact of putting the connector through. I've tried 10
think about who will benefit the most from this decision

—- and you know, paradoxically, it's
those who live on or around
Montroyal.

We're a great example. We live
on Montroyal east of Delbrcok. Qur
daughter, other relatives, and friends
tive in Lynn Valley.

Instead of the long drive down
Delbrook to cross at 29th, we will he
able to exit our driveway and hed

route, Now here's the newt part. All of

the other choices we have always had

— like cutting through Mahon and

Evergreen when we return: from

Bumaby, the lower part of Lonsdale,

or even Lynn Valley, are still there to

And when traffic is congested at
the Lonsdale/Rockland/Montroyal
intersection, I. can still cul over the top
through Beaver and Prospect,

T can assure. you these are good
and logical choices that we and our
neighbors will use. Logically, those
on Evergreen and Mahon will contin-
ue to cut through their own neighbor-
hoods, and not ours.

f took the fiberty of faxing a
copy of Bob Hunter's Strictly
Personal column entitled, “Why
women are the better hall” to my

boyfriend to find out what sort of

reaction he would have.

Naturally, being a woman, | fan-
cied the article. My boyfriend of a
few years did not share similar feel-
ings. So much so that his response
was almost immediate, More inipor-
tantly,
