Saints convert firemen

BRAVO Saints continued
unbeaten in the Vancouver
Metro Soccer Season with a
5-0 bombardment of ‘the
Vancouver Firemen at Clin-
ton Park Saturday.

The Firemen played an
aggressive game, but did not
have the stamina to keep up
with their spirited opposi-
tion. - Lo
Saints’ Ed Thomas was
given two chances from the
penalty spot and scored on

both. Jeff Jackson con-
tinued. his scoring streak
with two more and young
Tim O’Brian, with the pret-

tiest goal of the day, com--

pleted the scoring. ~

Bravos played an in-.:

telligent soccer game, forc-
ing the older Firemen to
chase the ball. The North
Shore: team pressed the
overworked Firemen, mov-
ing the ball quickly for good
scoring opportunities.

Graham Picard and Lorne
Leiselle had strong games
for Bravos in midfield,
Keeper Craig Henderson
earned the shut-out. _

Next game for Bravos is 2
