VW. Van busses will
give Expo service

WEST VANCOUVER Blue busses will be increasing service
to accommodate Expo customers, the municipality’s council

heard Monday.

Reporting on the 1986/87 An-
nual Operating Agreement between
the District of West Vancouver
and B.C. Transit for Blue Bus ser-
vice, director of administrative
services Doug Allan said the
agreement, which becomes effec-
tive April 1, was basically the same
as that for 1985/86, but witli:
eral additional features.

conducted
at Lighthouse
Park

THE MUNDAY Nature House
Committee will be conducting
nature tours during the months of
May, June, July and August.

‘The one-hour nature walks in
Lighthouse Park will be every
Saturday, during those months,
and are scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
and again at {1 a.m.

Volunteers from Munday House
are currently studying forestry,
geology, botany, ethnology, birds,
mammals and marine biology.

The training, with emphasis on
Lighthouse Park, is given by pro-
fessionals in these fields, to enabie
guides to answer any questior:s
during the nature tours.

fice, a block and a half from Ex-
po.
West Van Council gave approval
to the $4,617,526 operating budget
for Blue Bus service in 1986/87, up
from the-1985/86 operating budget
of $4,082,706.

Commenting on the increased
express service to UBC, Ald. Mark
Sager said that the UBC express
route inaugurated in September
1985 ‘has been an enormous suc-
cess”?
