looking for carded umpires
to work their games on the’
North Shore for the coming
season.

Standard rates of
remuneration will be paid by
the league and they claim
the schedule and times of
games are ‘reasonable.’

for employees, to be

held in Swangard
Stadium Burnaby.
Corporate Cup ‘79,

scheduled for May 19, 1979,
will have 10 events, in-
cluding, a 10 kilometre road
race, obstacle course, a
master’s relay for employees
over the age of 40, a softball
throw relay and a one mile
run in which particpants
estimate the time it will take

them to complete the
distance.
All events, except the

women’s relay, are open to
both male and female
participants.

OUR NEWS CARRIER, Stephen Yates isn’t only a good newsboy. He also has ex-
cellent form in bowling. Stephen will be going to the National Finals of the youth
bowlers later this season as a result of his first place finish in the Bantam provincial

finals. Stephen will be beading to Sankt Ste. Marie, Ontario for the Nationals in April.

be held at Western Indoor
Tennis Club in Richmond,
B.C. on 6-7-8 April 1979.
