For 16 years, she has been involved with the charity and in many ways, she has become the public face of the volunteer service that that matches donations to the needy through a_ hard- working core of volunteers The main task of those volunteers 1s to collect and distribute donations of loys, clothing and food to the West Vancouver families that are in need at Christmas time Working with the dona tions of items, made through West Vancouver = firehalis, and cash donated to the cause, the fund group finds uself increasingly busy each year and your ©, In 1983, a total of 220 hampers were distributed in West Vancouver and this vear Stout teels she'll find about the same number ot tamilies — of a few more — requesting seasonal help. Jokes about the precetved ritziness of West Vancouver aside, that community has a need for a Christmas help service like any other and it’s a problem that has worsened in the recent economic drought.
