It's ball hockey time

ALTHOUGH the ice is gone
for another season at the
North Vancouver Recreation
Centre Arena, hockey con-
tinues to be a number one
interest.

The North Vancouver
Recreation Commission Ball
Hockey League begins it’s se-
cond year at the Recreation
Centre. Ball Hockey is rapid-
ly becoming a favorite with
youngsters anywhere there is
room to run, and the Recrea-
uon Centre is making room.

Commencing Apmnil 24 and
25, two divisions get their ten
week schedule underway at
the Recreation Centre Arena
The Jumor League for boys
12.14 years of age, play Mon
days and Wednesdays from
4 30600 pm, and the In

termediate League, ages
15-18, clash on Tuesdays,
Thursdays and Fridays.

The overwhelming interest
has carned over from last
season as the players look
forward to moving off the
Streets and Lacrosse boxes
onto an indoor, regulation
size, hard floor surface

Also, in conjunction with
the North Shore Rowdymen
Senior Mens Ball Hockey
team, the North Vancouver
Recreation Commission
plans to run a free skills clinic
on Saturday April 28 and
Sunday April 29. both days
from 2 30-4:00 pm Players
will be put through drills and
iftume permits, will be able to
play their first game on the
arena Moor before starting
