JUDITH MARCUSE Repertory
Dance Company of Canada
(RDCC) will present its third home
season at the Queen Elizabeth
Theatre, Nov. 21 and 22.

This engigement follows the
RDCC's third cross-Canada tour
which commenced in Ottawa Oct.
14 and ended in Toronto on Nov.
16.

The program performed by the
10-dancer company of soloists will
include the following ballets: And

Ginette Laurin, who is a recent
winner of the Chalmers Award:
Big Shoulders by New Yorker, Lar
Lubovitch; Triptych by Toronto's
Danny Grossman; and three new
works from Judith Marcuse —-
Closed Circuit, Time Out and Cor-
tege.

Time Out, first’ performed in
August at the Canada Pavilion,
and danced to the musig of the
West African band, Toure Kunda,
was described as ‘ta light-spirited,
limb-flinging piece of undeman-

a somewhat darker work, Was a hit
during Vancouver Dance Week in

Cortese, Marcuse’s most recent
work, is a Vancouver premiere
performed five by the 20-sinwer
Vancouver Chamber Chair and a
small ensemble of leading musi-
cians, Costumes for Corfege were
designed by Mary Galbraith and
hand-painted by acclaimed Van-
couver artist Toni Onley.
