Canada announced recently
that effective August 4 its
Income Security Programs
facility at 1217 Lonsdale
Avenue (2nd floor), North
Vancouver will be expanded
to a five-day week service,
Monday through Friday,
8:30'a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“Since July 1979 we've
provided a part-time  ser-
vice,” says District Manager
Roy Wiley. “Meanwhile the
demand has been such that

one day a week to two, with
a staff member available for
a third day on an ‘as needs’
basis.” Wiley adds that now
it has become evident that
North Shore residents need
Income Security Programs
service on a full-time basis,
hence the expansion to a
five-day week.
