ON June 30, the News pub-
lished stories about a typical day
in the life of a Crown prosecu-
tor in North Vancouver provin-
cial court.

Johnson during his busy day. Johnson has
since left North Vancouver provincial
court and is prosecuting cases in B.C.
Supreme Court.

The following is a wrap up of most of

Satnal Singh Mangat’s case was
adjourned to another date before it even
got started in scheduled date of trial in
June. Mangat was in court fighting a
number of Motor Vehicle Act infractions
which were issued after his sand-filled
dump truck rol'ed on Mount. Seymour
last August.

Mangat, 31, of Surrey, changed his plea
to guilty a short time later. He was fined
$600 for:

& failing to maintain the vehicle’s brakes;

. Hl making a false or deceptive inspection

illegally displaying his motor carrier
plate. .
Judge Doug Moss levied the - fine.
Mangat uired a Punjabi interpreter.
Ba North Vancouver man who was
charged with driving without due care
and attention in connection with a crash
with a truck was found. guilty of the:
offence.

Kamran Shoghli, 41, was fined $100."
The crash took place on Nov.'25, 1995-
on West Keith Road near Jones Avenue.
Shoghli put his car in reverse after passing

a group of taunting teenagers on the
