B.C. Boys Choir THE B.C, Boys Choir (BCBC), under the direction of Gerald van Wyck, will present a bon voyage concert before leaving for a European tour. They will present A Tribute to the Netherlands on Friday, June 24, at West Vancouver United Church, 2062 Esquimalt Ave., West Vancouver at 7:30 p.m. The BCBC embarks on a five-week, 17-concert tour that will make stops in the Netherlands, Austria and Germaiiy. ’ Founded in 1968, the BCBC has won international acclaim throughout Canada, the Netherlands, Russia, the United States, Europe and the former Czechosicvakia, Their programs frequently include sacred and secular works, selections from musicals and opera and an assort- ment of Canadian folk songs written for the choir. Tickets for the show are $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors and are available through Ticketmaster at 280-4444, NS Folkfest comes THE NORTH Shore Folkfest will take place Friday June 24 to Sunday June 26 ai Norseman Park (23rd St. and St. Georges Ave., North Vancouver) being celebration cen- tral. Events are planned for sites from Horseshoe Bay to ‘Deep Cove. Multicultural performances, a parade, an international hip-hop concert, a craft market, visual art exhibitions, the Queen’s Baton Relay, a pancake break- fast and other events are planned. Folkfest is sponsored by local arts, recreation and gov- evnment groups as well as provincial ministries, Norwesters Track and Field Club, the North Shore News, Seaspan and Chemex Labs.
