Seniors ask
WV to help
with costs
of survey

A REQUEST for contribu-
tions to a Lionsview
Seniors’ Planning Society
survey was. passed on Mon-
day by West Vancouver
District Council to its
Community Services Advi-
sory Commission for com-
ment.

The society has completed the
North Vancouver portion of its
survey about North Shore seniors,
and the society plans to move on
to West Vancouver in April and
complete the report in May.

“It's a very exciting enter-
prise,’’ said Sheila Gilmour,
chairman of the society's housing
committee.

The group's president Sheila
Jones, said that West Vancouver

i District was only being asked to
cover the cost of printing the
questionnaire and printing and
mailing the future report, which
will provide a cross-section of
responses from North Shore resi-
dents 55 years of age and over.

The survey, whic is being con-
ducted by senior volunteers, was
designed by planning and geron-
tology expert Dr. Gerald Hodge.
