Equus plays in North Van THE NORTH Vancouver Com- munity Players’ production of the award-winning play Equus will run over the Easter Holidays. The play, which first opened in London in 1973 to critical and popular acclaim, runs Wednesday to Saturday, April 11 to 14, and from April 17 to 21 at Hendry Hall. The play is a psychological drama about a stadleboy who blinds six horses and, as a result, must undergo psychiatric treat- ment. The set design and the use of stylized horse masks are visually striking. The play’s producer is Win Clamp, who also produced The Dresser, winner of best play at the Theatre B.C. provincial finals last Spring. Equus’ director Bob Weekes won best actor at the finals.
