the lead in the Mount
Seymour Kinsmen Minor
League Division I between
Parkway Chevron Royals
and North Shore Credit
Union Yankees, who each
have five wins and one loss.

And in Division II, the
Capilano Glass Phillies are
the power, posting five wins
and two tes to lead the
pack.

The First Memorial Expos
share the lead in the major
league (three wins, two ties
and one loss) with the Mt.
Seymour Lions Cubs (four
wins, two losses).

In the Mt. Seymour Lions
Cubs and First Memorial
Expos game, the Cubs staged
a Jate rally to edge the Expos
4-3 on a home run strike by
Keith Filewood. The win-
ning pitcher was Steve Lima.

performance by Dean
Duncan who not only was on
the mound but also had a
triple and double at bat.
Jaycee trounced Eagles 22-3
the same day, with Eamon
Ward the winning pitcher.

In other games: Jaycees
squeaked by the Eagles 9-7
(w.p. Eamon Ward), Legion
beat Skyline 15-13, and
Skyline needed an_ extra
inming to edge Jaycee 8-7
(w.p. Mark Reid in relief).

(16-18 years) softball play.

The wins came two days
apart: on May 3 the local
team dumped Burnaby
Slammers 16-8 with Mana
Chiesa on the mound, and
Ingnd Pruner was a real
force with three hits and four
RBIs to her credit.

Then on May 5 Dykhof
overpowered long time rivals
Burnaby Lakers 8-4, with
Lea Anne Chowen the
winning pitcher.

But there were losses too.
On April 26 they were
blanked 4-0 by Victona
Drive, and two days later
came a humihating 18-7
defeat at the hands of
Ladner.

This was followed by a 12-
QO loss to the Richmond
Pirates May 10 and a narrow
7-5 defeat by Black Sheep.
