North Shore represented at annual Children’s Show SIX YEARS ago North Vancouver mom Marilyn Taylor produced her first Children’s Show to fill the need she saw for an event for young families. By ELIZABETH COLLINGS News Reporter Each year since then the Children’s Show has grown and this year is no exception as the show has increased its number of exhibitors from last year by 40 per cent. Taylor is expecting to see 10,000 adults and 5,000 kids at the three-day fair held in the PNE Showmart Building from Oct. 20- 22. The 110 booths offer almost every kind of service or product parents-to-be or families with children could ever need. Both the practical and the bizarre will be on view at the Children’s Show. In the fashion end of the show, a number of North Shore businesses will be hosting booths to show off their latest fashions. Dr. Denton’s of Park Royal South will be having fashion shows twice daily with professionally trained child models showing off such fun clothes as two-piece sleepers with grow-a-size magic snaps and rubber duckie imprints on the soles. ° Dr. Denton’s will also have two booths carrying the store’s lines for kids from six months to 14 years old. Quality cotton is Dr. D’s specialty and store owner Chantal Rivest says mail orders will be taken and delivered free of charge. eMargaret’s Quilts & Pillows is the brain child of Margaret Stec from North Vancouver.
