Noisy NV partier fined

A NOISY partier in North
Vancouver wound up with
something worse than a
hangover when he appeared
last week in provincial court
charged with contravening
North Van District’s noise
control bylaw.

Brian S. Pazdzierski of
4634 Cove Cliff Road
pleaded guilty to the charge
in the first prosecution under
the bylaw since the District
upped its penalties for noise

control violations last
November. He was fined
$250.

The maximum fine for a
first offence has been raised

to $500 from the previous
$100.

Maximum fine for a
second offence is now $1,000
and for a third and sub-
sequent offences $2,000

North Shore municipal
governments, if the
resolutions they are
introducing at the
Union of British
Columbia Municipalit-
ies convention are any
indication.

North Vancouver City,
North Van District, and
West Vancouver account for
15 of the 125 resolutions to
be introduced at the con-
vention next month in
Vancouver. The resolutions
for the most part are
requests for action to oe
