When Sarah McLachlan’s
Lilith Fair cour bus roiied into
UBC's Thunderbird Stadium
last weekend for the concert’s
final North American tour
date Monday, so did two
dozen artists and artisans,
bringing with them fashion-
able wares to sell in the fair’s
mobile marketplace.

Hand-picked by tour orga-
nizers, several of the vendors
had travelled with the tour for
most of irs 50-plus concert
dates. They came from Los
Angeles, Wisconsin, the
Kootenays and Commercial
Drive.

Many, like Jill Nadine
Clements, a Missouri mother
of three, came at the invitation
of Sarah McLachlan herself.
McLachlan, says Clements,
discovered her Nadina’s
Cremes aromatherapy prod-
ucts in Hawaii six years ago.

Two invitational artists, Jan
Wade and Colleen
Wolstenholme, can claim even
