of Blue Lizard: Productions
has been organizing swing -
nights around Vancouver since
February. “It's a litestyle” he
says of the swing scene. :
“We're finished = with
nihilism: — this is good clean
fun and happy escapism. It’s
like the rebirth of “40s punk
— we're doing the Charleston
on the grave of grunge.”
Wayne believes that parrot
the appeal. ofvswing ts the

According to Wayne. the

swing revival was spearheaded
by West Coast cities like
Vancouver, although its popu-
