five days a week. Twenty minutes
later he testified he took “70 tablets
a week, based on two tablets per

day on a five-day week.”

“A minute later defence lawyer
Sheldon Goldberg asked his client
how many tablets he consumed in a
three-month period.

“ “T would say about 218-230,” he
replied.

After a heavy and systematic
three-month program allegedly
taking. steroids, Dale. Paterson
pulled off a ninth-place finish in

the B.C. javelin championships.

Less than a month later, he clubbed
and strangled his former lover to

Paterson cartier testified he had
suicidal tendencies and he checked
himself in for a week at a psychi-
atric hospital in the mid-1980s
when he was at a speed-skating
camp in Winnipeg.

Crown prosecutor Joe Bellows
must prove premeditated planning
in order to win a first-degree mur-
der conviction. The trial continues,

Arrest made for mischief

A MAN was arrested on March
24 after a rock was thrown
through a front window of the
Petro-Canada station, 1270 Lynn

Someone reported: that an
audible alarm was activated at the
station at 3:30 a.m., according to
a North Vancouver RCMP
spokesman.
