available through North Shore
Community Services (NSCS).

A volunteer accompanist is
needed for a seniors’ mixed voice
choir at a North Shore recreation
facility. The choir practices Friday
mornings and does outside engage-
ments from time to time.

If you are a cook with a food
handler's certificate and are willing
to volunteer to help prepare a
Christmas dinner, a North Shore
facility that helps the needy would

like to hear from you.

An organization that serves the
recreational needs of children and
youth needs enthusiastic volunteers
who can lead or help with activity
programs after school.

A seniors’ care facility needs a
volunteer to help with a reading
group. The volunteer will set up
chairs, help residents from their
rooms, prepare and serve coffee and
tidy up afterwards.

Meal servers are needed for a

group meal program for seniors and
handicapped people. Volunteers help
set up, serve the meal and clean up
afterwards. This is an enjoyable,
sociable activity for both helpers and
participants.

A program that encourages chil-
dren to understand and appreciate the
natural West Coast environment is
looking for volunteers to lead and
facilitate groups of students.
Extensive training and support pre-
vided.
